Collaboration

Work together in real time, discuss stories inline, and track every change with full activity history.

Real-time collaborative editing

Multiple team members can edit a feature description, story content, or sprint plan simultaneously. Presence indicators (colored cursors and avatars) show who is editing what. Changes are synchronized via operational transformation (OT) — no conflicts, no lost work.

Note: Real-time editing requires at least two users to be online in the same project simultaneously. If you are the only team member online, edits behave as normal single-user saves.

Inline comments

On any story card, click the comment icon to open the comments panel. Write a comment, tag a teammate with @mention, and hit enter to post. The mentioned user receives an in-app notification.

  • Threaded replies — Reply to any comment to start a thread.
  • Rich text — Bold, lists, and inline code supported.
  • Resolve — Mark comment threads as resolved once addressed.

Activity feed

Every project has an activity feed accessible from the sidebar. Shows a chronological stream of all notable events: feature creation, story slicing, story approval/modification/rejection, test case generation, comment posts, connector pushes, and sprint plan exports. Each entry includes the user, timestamp, and a brief description.

Notifications

In-app notification bell in the top bar. Notifications for: @mentions in comments, story status changes on features you've interacted with, and connector push results. Click any notification to navigate directly to the relevant item.

Audience

This page is useful for teams adopting Storymate who want to understand how multiple people can work on the same feature without stepping on each other's toes.
